STAYING COVID SAFE

Our Aim Is To Keep You Safe

At Ronald McDonald House Charities Western Australia (RMHC WA) we’re dedicated to keeping our AMAZING families, volunteers, staff, and community of supporters safe.

By participating in Up All Night, you’re helping to raise vital funds to support RMHC WA and the vulnerable populations we serve. It’s because of supporters like you that WA families with sick kids have a place to stay close together in their critical time of need. Yep… you’re an inspiration!

To safeguard our community of supporters, we’ve made some adaptations to Up All Night 2022, to ensure you’re safe on the evening of Saturday 12 March 2022.

Our COVID Plan

Who said safety and fun can’t go hand in hand?

We’ve made some simple and easy changes to ensure that the only thing you have to worry about on event night is… stepping one foot in front of the other! Here are a few of the steps we can take together to achieve our goal of keeping you and your teammates as safe as possible:

  • Proof of vaccination – All participants registered to walk in Up All Night 2022 will be required to provide proof of double vaccination to participate.
  • Service WA Check-In – All participants will be required to check in on the night via the ServiceWA App.
  • Hand sanitiser stations will be at the start line of the event and at every pitstop.
  • Masks will be worn by all staff and volunteers.
  • Staggered start times with a party atmosphere – To ensure we can maintain appropriate social distancing and spacing of walkers we will be implementing staggered start times with three great party zones to experience. You will be notified of your start time closer to the event.
  • Our Up All Night Guarantee – In case of a lockdown or any other Government restriction which impacts Up All Night 2022, be assured that the event will be rescheduled for a new date in 2022. Your registration fee and fundraising totals will roll over to the rescheduled date.
  • Up All Night App Tracking - To ensure we can effectively monitor participants throughout the course of the walk, the Up All Night App will have tracking enabled to ensure that (if required) we can isolate groups of participants who have interacted with each other. Please note the tracking feature is optional but recommended for safety reasons.

Proof of Vaccination

All participants, staff, and volunteers (and likely that’s you!) will be required to provide proof of vaccination prior to, or at your pack pick up.

We’ll be in touch soon (before 28 Feb) with details of your pack pickup location and time!

If you’re a Participant

  1. If you register your proof of vaccination online in your participant dashboard prior to pack pickup, your team captain will be able to collect your pack on your behalf. A third party cannot provide proof of vaccination on your behalf.
  2. You are able to provide proof of vaccination in person at your scheduled pack pick-up time.
  3. When you arrive at Up All Night on Saturday 12 March 2022, you will need to check-in using the Service WA or Safe WA app.

If you’re a Volunteer or Staff

All volunteers will be contacted by our Volunteer Coordinator prior to the event to ensure their COVID vaccination certificates are up to date.

Acceptable Ways to Show Vaccination

In accordance with the State Government criteria, only accepted forms of proof of vaccination can be provided to participate in Up All Night 2022. You can show proof of vaccination prior to, or at pack pickup in the following ways:

  • Option 1: Express Pickup: Register your proof of vaccination online in your Up All Night dashboard prior to attending pack pick up. You’ll still need to check in on arrival and the Up All Night Team will cross-reference your online details. If you have registered your proof of vaccination online, your Team Captain can collect your pack on your behalf.
  • Option 2: Fast Lane Pick up: The Green Tick. If you attend pack pickup and check in with the ServiceWA app, it will automatically provide both your proof of vaccination and check in.
  • Option 3. Easy Pack Pickup: Check in with Safe WA app and show your digital certificate stored in your smartphone wallet, or within your Medicare Express App, along with another form of acceptable identification, such as your Driver’s License or your Medicare Card.
  • Option 4: Simple Pack Pickup: If you don’t have either the Service WA or Safe WA app, not to worry. Just present a hard copy of your certificate or your immunisation history statement, along with an acceptable form of identification and we’ll check you in manually.
