I’m walking 42km for sick kids and their families

10km in the bag

With another busy week I managed to get a 10km in on Saturday arvo when I got back from work. Felt good to get the double figures in. And no blisters to report.
Will try and get higher into the double digits over the next week and see if I can squeeze out 15-20km some evening this week.

Onwards and upwards for the last few weeks

Update after weekend #1 of training

It was good to get started this weekend after a slow start during the week as i was a late Entry !!
I managed to get a 6km fast walk and 2.5 km eve stroll in with the Family Sunday eve. So im happy that i have at least made a start .

Thanks for all your generous donations and I will continue to try and keep ye all up to date with Progress over the next few weeks as I look on building on the distance travelled. I've even broke out the fit bit which has been gathering dust since i bought it 2 years ago!!

What i do notice is that 'walk "training is quite time consuming as opposed to other training or workout sessions,  and you need to dedicate anywhere from  1-5 hours if you want to cover the distance on a Walk , so poor Michell will be busier than usual minding Killian as he seems to find my walks a bit boring as you can see from image attached from Sunday mornings 6km.

Thanks again to everyone for the generous donations and please feel free to share my link on any socials and to anyone that will hep this wonderful charity. ??

I'll be Up All Night for sick kids

I’m taking part in Up All Night to raise funds for Ronald McDonald House Charities Western Australia (RMHC WA). Walking in an overnight marathon isn’t going to be easy, but it’s nothing compared to being the parent of a sick child.

Every day, families from across WA come to Perth so that their child can receive essential medical treatment. Ronald McDonald House is their Home Away From Home during the most difficult time of their lives.

I’m stepping up to show the families at Ronald McDonald House that they aren’t alone.

Join me on my journey. Donate to my page today.

This service has helped our closest friends and families over past few years so this make the decision to walk 42km pretty easy.
