I'll be Up All Night raising money for the sick kids/families at Ronald McDonald House
I’m taking part in Up All Night to raise funds for Ronald McDonald House Charities Western Australia (RMHC WA). Walking in an overnight marathon isn’t going to be easy, but it’s nothing compared to being the parent of a sick child.
After doing some volunteer work in the Ronald McDonald House for a couple of years in the kitchen (preparing/serving the meals, washing up etc.), I got to see first hand the incredible (and essential) work that is done in the House.
Every day, families from across WA come to Perth so that their child can receive essential medical treatment.
Tonight, and every night, up to 59 families with sick kids will sleep at the Nedlands and PCH Ronald McDonald Houses. RMHC WA provides free accommodation, education services and a safe, comfortable environment where families can stay together for the duration of their child’s treatment.
I’m stepping up to show the families at Ronald McDonald House that they aren’t alone.
Join me on my journey to complete my first Marathon - it is not a race and I intend to run/walk the distance (42Kms) in under 6 hours (hopefully).
