Team HP: Walking in honour of Harrison Pierce
Hello Team HP. Jeremy, Ruby and I are taking part in Up All Night to raise funds for Ronald McDonald House Charities Western Australia (RMHC WA). Walking in an overnight marathon isn’t going to be easy, but it’s nothing compared to being the parent/sibling of a sick child.
You will remember in 2019 when Harrison was critically ill and spent 21 nights in ICU, RMHC provided our family with accommodation at PCH so we didn’t ever have to be separated from Harrison. This meant we had a place to shower, sleep, somewhere to make a coffee and share experiences with other families going through similar situations. RMHC also provided some meals for families, who are so time poor, looking after their kids.
Every day, children from across WA receive essential medical treatment. Ronald McDonald House is their Home Away From Home during the most difficult time of their lives.
We are stepping up to show the families at Ronald McDonald House that they aren’t alone, and we are walking in honour of our beautiful boy.
