Allen Family

The Allen family is originally from Kununurra, in the Kimberley region of Western Australia, over 3,000kms from Perth. Leah (Mum), Nick (Dad), Georgie, Eliza and Maya, now call Perth home. The family had to relocate to Perth for little Georgie, who has laryngomalacia. 

Georgie was born 6 weeks premature with a swollen airway, and for the first year of her life, she had trouble eating and breathing, losing significant weight as a newborn.

Parker Family

Tegan Parker and son, Cobber (6 years old) are from Kununurra, 3041km from Perth, in the Kimberley region of Western Australia. Cobber lives with a rare joint disorder called Arthrogryposis D-5. Since 2014, Ronald McDonald House Charities Western Australia has been Tegan and Cobber’s home away from home for 292 nights across 45 different stays.

Cooling Family

Jacob was born five weeks early with congenital leukaemia. After being born, all of his organs began to shut down and he had to be put on dialysis. A few weeks later Jacob had a severe brain haemorrhage, which then resulted in epilepsy and cerebal palsy. Jacob is now 3 years old, but he still needs to visit our House every 3 months for injections to treat his cerebral palsy.

Daisey-Lee 

Situated 2720kms from Perth and approximately 370kms out of Derby is the community of Dodnun. The community has roughly 40-50 people, and to Daisey-Lee Donation and her Aunty, Djari Latham, this is where ‘home’ is. Daisey-Lee is 14-years-old. She was diagnosed with a form of cancer - Rhabdomyosarcoma - in April, 2019.
