Hear from our 2025 walkers

“I have lived in remote and regional WA most of my life, so Ronald McDonald House has been vital for family and friends from these regions who have to reside in Perth when they travel there for treatment for their kids.”

“Growing up, I was a frequent flyer at Princess Margaret Hospital. Thankfully, we had support of local friends and family despite living in regional WA. However, even at such a young age I understood the importance of Ronald McDonald House for the kids I shared a ward with. Each year I do a fundraiser and this year I felt like I wanted to set the bar high to encourage more donations – so I did exactly that!

Those kids need their families, and those families need the home away from home.”

“The supporters along the route and the excellent level of communication leading up, the safety tracking to keep us all accounted for. The quality of the medical staff in the pit stops was awesome - you really looked after the walkers with professional support. Thank you!”
