We're staying Up All Night for WA families with sick kids
As many of you know, Ronald McDonald House Perth has been a lifeline for our family over the last few years.
Following Rosalie’s diagnosis of High Risk Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia in 2022 when she was just 5 years old, our family was thrown into a whole new existence of chemotherapy, hospital stays and anxiety filled nights. Throughout all of this, the world threw us a lifeline in the form of the Amazing RMHC Perth and their staff and volunteers.
For over 949 nights they gave (and continue to give) us a roof over our heads, full bellies and a family when we couldn’t be close to our own. They were a shelter in the storm of our lives as an oncology family and helped us not only navigate the hardest period of our lives, but supported us more than we could have ever asked them to.
We will not be staying at the house for the first time in 3 years for the 2026 Up All Night but this year I will instead be walking it in support of an organisation that has become nothing short of a family to us.
We may be starting off small with the 21km but if you want to put on your walking shoes and join me come along! Maybe 2027 we can do the full 42 ??
