Hailey's Night - Our Little Miracle
In June 2023, life for the Horton family changed in an instant when beautiful two year old Hailey was severely burnt in an accident involving boiling water.What followed were three incredibly difficult months. Hailey became critically unwell, spent weeks in intensive care, underwent surgeries and suffered an acquired brain injury. There were many moments when her family didn’t know what the next hour would bring.
Throughout it all Ronald McDonald House WA was there.
For three months, they provided accommodation close to Hailey, meals, care and constant support. They helped make it possible for Hailey’s siblings to visit and stay on weekends, organised a personalised blanket for Hailey and even made sure her dad had Father’s Day presents while the family was still in hospital.
Most importantly Ronald McDonald House kept Hailey’s family close to her. When complications happened overnight the hospital could call and her parents could be by her side almost immediately. During such a frightening and uncertain time that closeness meant everything.
Hailey has fought incredibly hard ever since and continues to amaze everyone around her. There’s a reason she has always been known as our little miracle.
That’s why Hailey’s Night is taking part in Up All Night. Walking together for Hailey and to help Ronald McDonald House WA continue to be there for families when they need it most.
