What to expect on the night?
For safety, participants in Up All Night 2026 will walk in two separate waves. Below is everything you need to know before, during and after your walk.
Before the walk

Please arrive promptly for your assigned wave. We recommend getting there early enough to:

Download the EventSafe App (Essential)
All participants must download the EventSafe app before event day. The app supports walker safety throughout the event.

Collecting Your Event Pack
If you still need to collect your event pack:

The Registration Desk at the HQ Zone will be open from 4:30pm on event day
During the walk

Life-threatening emergency: Call Triple Zero (000) and ask for the required emergency service.
Once safe, contact 0488 773 822 to notify the event team.
EventSafe App – Safety & Tracking
Yes Up All Night 2026 uses the EventSafe app to support walker safety.
The app:

Records your location so event staff can monitor safety conditions

Allows operations teams to coordinate assistance if required

Uses location data solely for safety and risk management

Automatically stops tracking when the event concludes (or if you exit the app)

⚠ For safety reasons, we strongly discourage driving home after completing the walk.

What to Bring
We suggest bringing a small waist bag with essentials:

If you have specific dietary requirements, please bring your own food.
Will there be an area to store some items at the start/finish line?
There will not be any storage facilities at the start/finish line or pit stops.
Pack light for the walk, so you don’t have anything heavy weighing you down!
How long will it take to walk?
Completion time depends on your walking pace.
Participants will be notified of their wave in the event Info email sent on Wednesday 18 March

21km can take around 4 hours

Absolutely! We encourage friends and family to come to the HQ Zone to:

After the walk
You’ll be welcomed across the finish line with plenty of cheers! What an incredible achievement!
