No Skates, No Sleep: POR Goes Up All Night
We’re Perth Outdoor Rollerblading (POR), a community of inline and quad skaters who are much more accustomed to covering Perth on wheels.
This March, however, we’re putting the skates away for one night and taking on Up All Night on foot.
We’ll be walking through the night to support Ronald McDonald House Charities WA and the families who rely on them when a seriously ill child needs medical care far from home.
For these families, sleepless nights aren’t something they sign up for as a challenge. They can be part of an incredibly difficult time spent away from home, surrounded by hospitals, appointments and uncertainty.
So for one night, Team POR is trading wheels for walking shoes and putting in the kilometres together.
The money we raise will help RMHC WA provide accommodation, support and a home away from home, allowing families to stay close to their children when being together matters most.
POR has always been about community, encouraging each other and occasionally convincing one another that travelling an unreasonable distance under our own power sounds like fun.
This time, we’re using that energy for something bigger.
