Up All Night 2027! We go again!
This will be my third Up All Night, because apparently giving up an entire night’s sleep to walk 42 km through Perth has become an annual tradition.
It’s a ridiculous thing to do, but it’s for a genuinely important reason.
Ronald McDonald House Charities WA helps families with seriously ill kids stay together while they’re away from home for treatment. When a family is already dealing with something that difficult, having somewhere to stay and being able to remain close to their child shouldn’t be another thing they have to worry about.
So in March I’ll be doing it again. 42 km. All night. No sleep. Probably a lot of snacks, a few White Monster Energy Zero Ultras, questionable conversation, increasingly tired legs, and a fair amount of wondering why I keep voluntarily signing up for this.
But I know exactly why I do.
If you’d like to donate, I’d really appreciate it. I’ll take care of the stupid amount of walking. ❤️
