I swore I’d never do this… but here we are! ?

If you’d told me a year ago that I’d willingly sign up to walk 21 kilometres overnight, I would’ve said, “absolutely not!” Yet here I am, getting ready for Up All Night 2026 - WA’s only overnight walking challenge supporting families with sick kids through Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) WA.
So, what changed?
Recently, I volunteered in the Perth RMHC kitchen and saw firsthand the warmth, care and comfort they give to families going through some of the toughest times imaginable.
My own family had a number of hospital stays over the years, but we were lucky enough to live nearby. I can only imagine how hard it must be for families who live far from the hospital - juggling accommodation, a mortgage, paying for meals, continuing school for siblings and often the heartbreak of being apart. RMHC takes that worry away by keeping families together, housed and fed, completely free of charge. ?
After seeing that impact up close, I couldn’t not get involved. So, in a moment of questionable judgement but good intentions, I’ve signed up to walk through the night on 21 March 2026.
For parents with sick kids, sleepless nights are just part of life. I’m walking overnight to put myself (and my feet) in their shoes - and I’d love your support to make it worthwhile.
My current goal is $1,000, and every little bit helps - whether it’s the price of your morning coffee or a night’s sleep I’ll be losing!
Thank you for supporting this amazing cause - and for giving me the motivation I’ll need when I start questioning my life choices around kilometre 15. ?
With gratitude (and probably sore feet),
Courtney

I'm staying Up All Night for WA families with sick kids

This March, we're taking part in Up All Night, walking overnight to help provide a home away from home and services that support the well-being of WA families with sick kids.

For families with sick kids needing to travel far from home to access specialist medical care, sleepless nights are sadly just part of the deal.
By walking a night in their shoes, I can help these families at a time when they need it most.

The funds I raise can help provide accommodation, support and stability for families with sick kids who just want to spend loving time together during the hardest time of their lives.

Could you give a generous donation to help Ronald McDonald House WA continue to provide support to families with sick kids, 24/7 365 days a year?

Thank you for making a difference in the lives of WA families with sick kids through your kindness!
