My Up All Night challenge is
in honour of my daughter,
Evereigh
I’m staying Up All Night to give back to RMHC WA and support WA families with sick kids.
This March, we're taking part in Up All Night, walking overnight to help provide a home away from home and services that support the well-being of WA families with sick kids.
Ronald McDonald House Charities, with the support of Barminco, provided my family with invaluable support during one of the most challenging times of our lives. When my two-year-old daughter, Everleigh, was rushed to Perth Children's Hospital showing symptoms of lethargy, fever and paralysis, we faced a series of sleepless nights filled with observations, surgeries, treatments, and constant worry.
Throughout this ordeal, RMHC was our sanctuary. The Family Room in Fun on Four became a place where we could momentarily escape the stress of the hospital ward, allowing Everleigh to enjoy arts and crafts, play with toys, and engage in outdoor activities and fresh air. This space gave us the strength to focus on Everleigh's recovery, knowing we had a supportive community behind us.
Participating in the Up All Night Walk is our way of giving back and ensuring that other families can receive the same incredible support we did. Every step we take is a step towards helping families stay close to their sick children, providing them with the comfort and care they need during their toughest times.
For families with sick kids needing to travel far from home to access specialist medical care, sleepless nights are sadly just part of the deal.
By walking a night in their shoes, I can help these families at a time when they need it most.
The funds I raise can help provide accommodation, support and stability for families with sick kids who just want to spend loving time together during the hardest time of their lives.
Could you give a generous donation to help Ronald McDonald House WA continue to provide support to families with sick kids, 24/7 365 days a year?
Thank you for making a difference in the lives of WA families with sick kids through your kindness!
Jack
